# Terranaut Racing Maps

> Terranaut turns a route file (GPX, KML, GeoJSON, or JSON) into a cinematic, embeddable, interactive 3D race map for endurance event websites. It is race-route media, not a mapping tool: the course page is usually the most visited page on an event site, and Terranaut makes it sell the race, brief athletes, and carry sponsors.

The marketing site lives at https://terranaut.io. The product runs at https://app.racemap.studio. RaceMap Studio is now Terranaut: same team, same maps, with the app domain moving to the Terranaut brand later.

## What it does

- Cinematic 3D flyover of the course with play/pause and 1x/2x/5x speed, plus a broadcast mode for big screens and event-village loops
- Smart waypoints and aid stations: amenities, cutoff times, notes, photos, and video
- Sponsor placements on the course: branded markers, sponsored route segments, media, and calls to action (the organiser's own sponsors only; Terranaut never runs its own ads)
- Guided tour mode through course highlights, with a dedicated 3D camera per stop
- AI route descriptions generated from real course data
- Interactive elevation profile linked to the map, with elevation enriched from terrain data
- Embed on any website with one iframe; mobile and in-app-browser ready
- Public map view counters: last 7 days, month to date, all time
